Ordinance 140/2022 is now mandatory!

We would like to inform you that, starting from today, May 2nd, 2024, Ordinance 140/2022, which approves the Technical Regulation of Quality and the Requirements for Conformity Assessment for Equipment for Generation, Conditioning, and Storage of Electric Energy in Photovoltaic Systems, becomes mandatory.

Therefore, if you are involved in the manufacture, exportation and/or commercialization of solar panels, inverters, batteries, and controllers in Brazil, it is essential that these products have the registration number issued by INMETRO, according to the new guidelines of Ordinance 140/2022.

Some products covered by this regulation (such as inverters above 10 kilowatts, which were not covered by Ordinance 004/2011) will have an additional 12-month period to comply with the new rules, as well as existing products in the Brazilian market, which can be sold until May 2025.
